  • Medieval nuns chose to renounce all worldly life and goods and spend their lives working under the strict routine and discipline of life in a Medieval Convent or Nunnery.
2.What does the need for this occupation tell us about the time period?
  • The occupation is needed during this time period because people were very religious and attended church regularly.
3.What was his or her social standing?
  • The nun social standing is that they are still respected. Their day to day life consists of worshiping and singing in church services.

  • Chaucer does not include many details about their daily life.

  • We still have nun but the nun we have today dont rule everything like thy did in the middle ages.
